Our pheasant hunting season is well under way at Sutton Bay. Some of our guests have been enjoying a nice hunt in the cool mornings and a round of golf in the afternoon. This week the hunters have been challenged by wind and rain but still have had a great time and made some wonderful memories. I hope you have your hunting trip scheduled already but if you don’t we still have some openings at the end of October and November. Look forward to seeing you soon.

We’ve hit the “dog days of August” and the fishing is getting a little tougher. Some very nice walleye are still being caught but they are not jumping in the boat like last month. Stay in touch for anotehr walleye update and for the start of the Salmon Run.
September 1st marks the start of our preserve season for pheasants. The chicks are growing quickly and seem to be thriving with the great cover and a multitude of grasshoppers to munch on. Chuck and I have been busy taking care of the habitat and are ready for hunting to get started. We are looking forward to another great season of hunting with you.

Fishing is full speed ahead right now. Very nice walleye are being caught. Lake Oahe is up over 20 feet from last year and is providing Chuck the opportunity to get acquainted with some favorite “old fishing spots”.
The hunting habitat is looking great again this year and we are busy spraying weeds and getting things in order for hunting season.
Pheasant season is just around the corner. If you have a golf trip scheduled, plan on taking a little time to do some shooting at the 5 stand. You can keep the rust knocked off and will be ready to shoot some pheasant on your hunting trips this fall.
