Fishing
One of the premier walleye lakes in the US is just out the back door of the Sutton Bay lodge. A 14lb 2oz walleye was caught on this lake and the state record 21lb 2oz Chinook salmon was caught in September 2002. There are also catfish, bass and other types of game fish such as northern pike; in fact, one member caught a 24lb Northern in 2004.
Fishing on Lake Oahe could not be easier; professional guides, complete with all the needed fishing gear, will pick you up at the boat ramp at Sutton Bay and will take you to the hot spots on the lake. Plus, Sutton Bay also offers a fully stocked Bass pond.
After a successful expedition, the fish will be cleaned and packaged for transportation, or delivered to the head chef for your dining enjoyment that evening. What could be better for dinner than a succulent, fresh, walleye or salmon filet that you caught the same day?
