Take US Hwy 83 north to Pierre (from I-90) and follow Hwy 83 (north) into Pierre (DO NOT TAKE THE TRUCK ROUTE IN PIERRE). In Pierre you will turn left on Pierre St to follow Hwy 83 north (there is a Walgreens on the corner). Follow Hwy 83 up the hill in Pierre about 1.5 miles. You will be starting to go out of town and turn off of Hwy 83 and take State Hwy 1804 north. This is a left hand turn. Follow 1804 north for 39–40 miles. There will be a 4-way stop about 24 miles up the road and you will turn east (right) – this is still 1804. You will go 6 miles east and you will turn north (left) – this is still 1804. MAKE SURE YOU ALWAYS STAY ON 1804.
Follow 1804 to mile marker 290. There will be a brown sign that says "Sutton Bay Lakeside Use Area – 4 Miles". Get off of 1804 on 291st Ave. Follow this road about 3 miles and you will see the lodge and the entrance to Sutton Bay.
